I was left by the OP Shuttle this morning, not because I woke up late, but because I was caught by a traffic congestion along Carmona's zigzag road. I thought an accident occured, seconds later I heard the rolling sound of the driller truck at work followed by the sight of gigantic backhoes and excavators parked on the opposite lane. Another road widening project? This will be the third road repair that I have to bear with twice everyday, dawn and dusk. First is at Alabang-South Luzon Expressway and the second one is at Tunasan Service Road.
I wonder when will these projects be done. I do not know, and I bet the DPWH cannot tell either. Perhaps my Social Science college professor was right when she told the class, "Kaya nagtatagal ang paggawa ng mga proyektong tulad ng ganito ay upang tumatak sa isip ng taong-bayan na may ginagawa ang pamahalaan, at kung sino ang mga pulitikong nasa likod nito."
The end justifies the means, but do we have to suffer this much?
